Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of SingleReveal, located at www.singlereveal.com (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

SingleReveal allows users to create encrypted, self-destructing links for sharing text or files. Once a secret is viewed or its expiry time elapses, it is permanently deleted from our systems.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use SingleReveal to:

• Share content that is illegal, infringing, or that violates the rights of others
• Distribute malware, phishing links, or other malicious content
• Share child exploitation material, threats of violence, or content promoting harm to others
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to our infrastructure
• Use automated tools to abuse rate limits or create excessive secrets

We reserve the right to remove content or restrict access for any account or IP address found violating these terms, to the extent technically possible given the self-destructing, encrypted nature of the Service.

3. No Warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure, though we take reasonable measures — including encryption and automatic deletion — to protect your data.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SingleReveal and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of access to a secret due to expiry, or unauthorized access resulting from a link being shared insecurely by the user.

5. User Responsibility

You are responsible for safeguarding any link you generate before it is opened by its intended recipient. Because links are not tied to user accounts, anyone who obtains a valid link can access its contents. We are not responsible for secrets accessed by unintended parties due to link mishandling.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Secrets are automatically and permanently deleted upon being viewed (depending on your selected mode) or after a maximum of 7 days, whichever occurs first. Once deleted, content cannot be recovered by us or by you.

7. Advertising

The Service may display advertisements served through Google AdSense on content and informational pages. Ads are not displayed on screens used for revealing or creating secrets. See our Privacy Policy for details on how advertising partners may use cookies.

8. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time. We may also update these Terms periodically; continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction in which the Service operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
